Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Liftlore app (train.liftlore.app) and this website (liftlore.app). Questions go to hello@liftlore.app.
What we collect
- Account. Your handle, a hashed password, and an email address if you add one. If you sign in with Google, your Google account id and email.
- Training data. Workouts, exercises, sets, routines, programs, personal records, and the XP, gold, quests, achievements and gear they earn.
- Settings. Units, week start, time zone, home layout and visibility.
- Technical data. IP address and browser details for each signed-in session, and error reports when something breaks.
- Waitlist. The email address you give the form on this site, and when you agreed to this policy.
- Consent. When you accepted the Terms and Privacy Policy, and that you confirmed you are 13 or older.
Why we use it
- To run the app and keep your progress (performance of our agreement with you).
- To secure accounts and fix bugs (our legitimate interest).
- To email you about the launch, if you joined the waitlist (your consent).
- To send account emails such as password resets and email confirmation.
We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
Who handles it for us
- Our hosting provider, which stores the database and serves the app.
- Resend, which delivers our email.
- Google, if you choose Continue with Google.
- Sentry, which receives error reports.
Friends can see what your visibility setting allows. Nothing else is shared with other users.
Cookies and storage
We use one sign-in cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage for preferences and offline logging. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
Account data stays until you delete your account. Waitlist emails stay until you unsubscribe or we close the waitlist. Deleted data can remain in nightly backups for up to about five weeks.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export and delete your data:
- Export. Settings, Download my data, gives you everything we hold as a JSON file.
- Delete. Settings, Delete account, removes your account and its data.
- Unsubscribe. Every waitlist email has an unsubscribe link.
- Anything else. Email us. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Liftlore is for people 13 and older. If you believe a younger child has an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies.
